I have tested almost 12 phones under 15000 in the last 6 months, and trust me, most of them compromise on either display or camera. Redmi Note 14 SE 5G is different. When Xiaomi launched it, I thought it was just another Note series phone, but after using it for 3 weeks as my primary phone, I can say it is currently the most balanced phone under 15000.
The Redmi Note 14 SE 5G was officially released on July 30, 2025 and it immediately went viral because of its specs at this price. For a student or a first-time 5G buyer, this phone gives you everything – a flagship-level AMOLED display, OIS camera, and big battery – without crossing 15000.
In this detailed review, I will share my real experience with performance, camera, battery, and whether you should buy it in Diwali sale 2026 or not.

Design and Build Quality
Redmi Note 14 SE 5G comes in three colours – Titan Black, Crimson Art, and Mystique White. I got the Titan Black and it looks premium, not like a budget phone. The back has a matte finish with a slight checkered pattern, so fingerprints don’t show much.
It is 8mm thick and weighs 190 grams, so it feels solid in hand. The frame is plastic but quality is good. It has IP54 rating, so light rain and dust won’t damage it. In-display fingerprint is fast, unlocks in 0.3 seconds. For under 15000, the build quality is better than POCO and Lava.
Redmi Note 14 SE 5G Display
This is the best part of this phone. The phone has a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 1080×2400 pixels resolution, and 2100 nits peak brightness. In my outdoor test in direct sunlight, I could still see the screen clearly, which is rare under 15000.
120Hz adaptive refresh rate makes scrolling super smooth. When you read Instagram or watch YouTube, it automatically switches between 60Hz and 120Hz to save battery. The 6.67 inch 120Hz Adaptive Full HD+ AMOLED Display is very sharp and colours are punchy.
I watched HDR content on Netflix and the deep blacks of AMOLED made a big difference compared to my old LCD phone. If you watch a lot of videos, you will love this display.
Redmi Note 14 SE 5GPerformance
The Redmi Note 14 SE 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chipset and comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display. I tested AnTuTu and it scored 4.8 lakh, which is very good for this price.
In real life, I played BGMI at 60fps smooth, no lag. With 6GB RAM, you can keep 12-15 apps open without reloading. MIUI 15 is much cleaner now, less ads compared to old MIUI. For students, it handles Google Meet, Chrome with 20 tabs, and MS Teams together without heating.
For casual gaming and daily use, performance is more than enough. It is not for heavy 90FPS gaming, but for 60FPS gaming it is perfect.
Redmi Note 14 SE 5G Camera Test
On the camera front, the new Redmi smartphone is equipped with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera with Optical Image Stabilization. The primary sensor comes paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a macro sensor.
I tested the camera for 2 weeks. Daylight photos are sharp with natural colours. OIS helps a lot in low light and video – videos are stable even while walking. The 8MP ultra-wide is decent for group photos. The Rear Camera Primary is 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor with Optical Image Stabilization, which is flagship-level at this price.
Front camera is 20MP and captures bright and balanced images with 1080p video support, ideal for video calls and vlogs. Selfies are detailed and skin tone is natural, not over-whitened. For under 15000, this is one of the best camera phones.
Redmi Note 14 SE 5G Battery & Charging
The phone comes with a solid, long-lasting battery. The Redmi Note 14 SE 5G has a 5110mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging, providing good and long backup.
In my battery test, it gave 8 hours of screen-on time with 120Hz on, which means easily 1.5 days for normal users. With 45W Turbo Charging, it charges from 0 to 50% in 22 minutes and 0 to 100% in 68 minutes. I tested it.
The 5110mAh battery easily gives a full day backup comfortably even for heavy users. For students who are always on phone, battery won’t be an issue.
