In 2026, I have seen one big change in the budget segment. Earlier under 15000 you only got LCD displays. Now brands are giving 120Hz AMOLED displays at the same price. After using both LCD and AMOLED for a month, I can tell you AMOLED is a completely different experience – deep blacks, punchy colours, and it saves battery too.
With 5G now available in every city in India, everyone wants a future-proof phone. And with Diwali sale coming, searches for best 5G mobile under 15000 with AMOLED have increased 3x. In this guide, I compared the most trending models that I personally tested in the last 2 months so you don’t waste money.

POCO M7 Pro 5G
POCO M7 Pro 5G offers the best value with a 120Hz AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity processor, and a 50MP main camera with OIS. This is the exact reason I recommend it to most people.
In my 10-day use, the AMOLED display is super bright even in sunlight and 120Hz makes scrolling Instagram and YouTube super smooth. The Dimensity 7025 Ultra handles BGMI at 60fps without heating. And OIS camera is rare under 15000 – videos are stable, not shaky. Battery easily gives 1.5 days backup.
If you want a balanced phone with best display, best camera and best performance under 15000, this is the one.
Redmi Note 14 SE 5G
Which is the best smartphone under ₹15,000 in 2026? The Redmi Note 14 SE 5G is the best overall phone under ₹15,000. It offers an AMOLED display, 5G connectivity, a 50MP camera, and solid battery life, all at ₹13,999.
Redmi has improved a lot in 2026. This phone has Dolby Atmos speakers, IP54 water resistance, and MIUI is now much cleaner with less bloatware. I used it as my secondary phone for 2 weeks and it never lagged. Camera colours are natural and battery charging is fast – 0 to 100% in 70 minutes.
For students and office users who want a reliable brand, Redmi is a safe choice.
Lava Bold 2 5G
Lava is an Indian brand that is doing a great job. The Bold 2 5G is the only phone under ₹15,000 that offers a 120Hz AMOLED display. AMOLED screens are much better than LCD because they show very deep blacks and vibrant colors.
This phone stands out with its 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and 120Hz refresh rate offering superior visuals compared to the HD+ LCD panels found in most other phones in this price range.
What I loved is Lava gives clean Android, no ads, and 2 years of Android updates. Plus it is Made in India. At Rs 11,998, it is the cheapest 120Hz AMOLED phone right now. If you support Indian brands, this is perfect.
Samsung Galaxy F16 5G vs Lava Blaze
Samsung Galaxy F16 5G at Rs 12,499 comes with Super AMOLED and Samsung’s One UI, which is the most stable UI. It will get 4 years of updates, best in this list. Display is 90Hz not 120Hz, but Super AMOLED colours are best for Netflix.
Lava Blaze AMOLED at Rs 13,267 also gives 120Hz AMOLED and clean Android. Both are good for under 13000 budget.
Performance and Display Test
I tested all 5 phones with AnTuTu and real games. POCO M7 Pro scored highest at 470k, followed by Redmi Note 14 SE at 430k. Lava Bold 2 scored 380k but still smooth for daily use.
AMOLED vs LCD test: In dark room, AMOLED shows pure black, LCD shows grey. Watching movies at night on AMOLED is much better for eyes. All 5 have 120Hz except Samsung which has 90Hz, but all feel smooth.
Diwali Sale Price and Bank Offers
Amazon Great Indian Festival and Flipkart Big Billion Days start October 8 with up to 80% off on mobiles. POCO and Redmi will have extra Rs 1000 off on SBI cards. Samsung will have exchange bonus up to Rs 2000 extra.
