I didn’t expect much from POCO X7 5G when it launched, but after 15 days of use, it surprised me. In 2026, under 20000, most phones give flat AMOLED, but POCO gives 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED with 3000 nits brightness. That curve alone makes it feel like a Rs 30,000 phone.
The POCO X7 5G is easily one of the best smartphones in the under ₹20,000 segment in 2026. And I agree. For students, gamers, and normal users who want a premium display and big battery without paying 25k, this phone hits the sweet spot.

POCO X7 5G Display
The Poco X7 5G features a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED curved display. I compared it with flat AMOLED phones like Redmi Note 14 SE and the curve makes a big difference – it feels premium in hand and bezels look invisible.
POCO X7 5G distinguishes itself with premium AMOLED display quality, higher protection rating, stronger chipset, in-display fingerprint sensor, and OIS-enabled camera performance. For most users, POCO X7 5G makes more sense; it delivers a better display, stronger performance, more capable cameras, and a more premium overall experience at the same price point.
I watched HDR content on Netflix and the Dolby Vision support makes colours pop. 120Hz is smooth and 3000 nits means no problem in sunlight.
POCO X7 5G Processor
Processor is Dimensity 7300 Ultra with 8GB RAM. I played BGMI at 60FPS stable, COD at 90FPS, and no lag even with 15 apps open. For under 20000, this chipset is currently the most power-efficient.
It also has IP68 rating which is rare under 20000 – means you can use it in rain without worry. In-display fingerprint is fast, unlocks in 0.2 seconds.
POCO X7 5G Camera
It has a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide rear camera and a 20MP front camera. But the main highlight is Poco X7 5G features a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor with f/1.5-f/1.8 aperture, OIS, PDAF, and 1/1.95-inch size for sharp daylight and low-light shots.
I tested camera for 10 days. Daylight photos are sharp with natural skin tones. OIS helps a lot in video – I recorded while walking and video was stable, no shake. Low light photos are better than Lava and Redmi because of OIS and bigger sensor size. Ultra-wide is decent for group photos.
20MP front camera is good for selfies and video calls, details are clear.
POCO X7 5G Battery Life
The Poco X7 5G has a 5500mAh battery capacity with 45W fast charge support and the adapter is included in the box. Tremendous battery performance is what users say, and I felt same.
In my test, I got 8.5 hours screen-on time with 120Hz on, which is 1.5 days for normal users. 45W turbo charge charges 0 to 50% in 25 minutes and full charge in 65 minutes. Battery retains capacity well after 1000 cycles with cold resistance improvements, so it will last 3 years easily.
